Anita Mae Witscheber-Staral, 88, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, October 18, 2011, with her family by her side. Born in Kenosha on November 3, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Frank E. and Etta (Learned) Witscheber. A lifelong resident of Kenosha, she was educated in local schools. On November 18, 1972, she married Frank Staral at Somers Community United Church of Christ. She had been employed by Johnson Motors for 12 years and later for 16 years at American Motors Corp., retiring in 1982. Anita was a lifelong member and longest member of Somers Community United Church of Christ, a member of Dusty Road Runners Camping Club and treasurer for 5 years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Frank. Surviving are husband, Frank Staral of Kenosha; a daughter, Lynetta (Steve) Ingham of Kenosha; two step-sons, Raymond (Mary) Staral of Iola, WI, and Dennis (Diana) Staral of Powers Lake, IL; two grandchildren, Terra (Robert) Newhouse and Melissa (Nicholas) Ingham-Angel; a great-grandchild, Jacob Newhouse; a niece, Mary (Ed Gabriel) Flegner; and four nephews, Frank W. (Carol) Witscheber, Leonard (Diane) Witscheber, Paul (Gail) Witscheber and David Witscheber. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Mary Witscheber; a step-son, David Staral; and her niece, Sandra Keller. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice Alliance for the loving care given to Anita. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 22nd, at Somers Community United Church of Christ at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Saturday at Somers Community United Church of Christ from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
