Jeanette C. DesMonie

Jeanette C. DesMonie, 84, of Burlington, late of Kenosha, passed away on Monday, October 3, 2011, at Mt. Carmel Health Care Center in Burlington, WI. Born in Kenosha on July 4, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Madeline (Reinstorf) Joerndt. As a child she moved to Twin Lakes, where she resided until her marriage. She then returned to Kenosha to make her home. On May 7, 1949, she married Charles DesMonie. He passed away October 26, 1998. For a number of years Jeanette worked at Sentry Foods and later Sears Roebuck and Company. She loved quilting, sewing, bowling and especially spending time with her family. Surviving are a son, David L. (Dawn Bruce) DesMonie of Richmond, IL; two daughters, Patricia (William) Koprovic of Salem, WI, and Donna (Rex) Hammes of Yorkville, WI; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 8th, at Proko Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. George Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday at Proko Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
