Angie Misurelli, 89, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2011, surrounded by her family at her daughter’s home in Arizona. Born on December, 6, 1921, in Cosenza, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Concetta (DeBartolo) Volpentesta. On July 14, 1945, she married Frank Misurelli at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. They had two daughters. Together they owned and operated Misurelli's Food Shop from 1950-1960. She also worked at Warwick, Simmons and was a homemaker. She was known for her generosity and amazing cooking and baking abilities. Everyone was always welcome at Angie’s house. Even friends and family who thought they would just stop by for coffee were always greeted with cakes, cookies and food. She is survived by her daughters, Joan (Bill) Weber of Kenosha (Sun City, AZ), and Lisa Misurelli (Ernst) Kuhn of Peoria, AZ; her three grandchildren, Ray (Laura) Stukel of Elmhurst, IL, Dave (Reka) Sundaram-Stukel of Madison, WI, and Michelle (Michael) Leitch of Pleasant Prairie, WI; and her four great-grandchildren, Amaan, Nisha, Kate and Mark Stukel. She is also survived by her brother-in-law, Eugene Misurelli; two nieces, Donna (Tony) Pontillo and Carole (Robert) Schmidt and many nephews, nieces, cousins and close friends. Preceding her in death was her husband, Frank Misurelli on March 6, 2008, and brother, John Volpentesta. Visitation will be held at the church. Family and friends are asked to meet at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church for visitation on Wednesday, April 27th, from 9:30 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated by the family.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit Angeline’s Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

Sorry to read that your mother has fallen asleep in death. Psalm 90:10 states In themselves the days of our years are seventy years; and if because of special mightiness they are eighty years,(Psalm 90:10) yes your mother was blessed with longevity (89 yrs)May the God of all comfort be with you and yours as you cope with your loss.
