Edith R. Data, 88, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Monday, December 6, 2010, at Hospice House. Born on December 1, 1922, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Ellen (Noer) Reinholdt. She attended the schools of Chicago, graduated from Calumet High School and attended Wilson Jr. College in Chicago. In 1966 she moved to Baltimore, before coming to Kenosha in 1969 to make her home. On December 11, 1943, she married Harry Data. In her early years Edith worked and modeled for Krafter & Sobel Co. in Chicago. Later she was a devoted wife and mother. She taught Radio and Morse code at Traux Field in Madison for the Air Force during World War II. Edith was a member of St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, Sunshine Committee Chairman at St. Matthew’s, ARC Club and was also associated with Meals on Wheels. Surviving are her husband, Harry Data of Kenosha; a son, Dr. Richard E. Data of Franklin, NC; a daughter, Barbara A. Wolter of Madison, WI; and three sisters, Sylvia VanBerchot of Melbourn, FL, Alice Luethold of Tomah, WI, and Virginia Jarrett of Dallas, TX. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Maola and Esther Walters. The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to all of the nurses and entire staff of Hospice Alliance for their special care given to their wife and mother. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 11th, at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held on Saturday at St. Matthew’s Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
