Joseph H. McHalffey Jr.

Joseph H. “Mac” McHalffey Jr., 76, of Kenosha, WI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Hospice Alliance Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie, WI.

Born on February 26, 1949, in Corinth, MS; he was the son of the late Joseph H. and Mildred (Shipman) McHalffey.

He served in the United States Marines from December 1967 until he was honorably discharged in December of 1973.

On March 19, 1983, he married Elizabeth Venci. They moved to Hawaii in 1985 and live in the Northshore of Oahu until 1996. They later divorced but remained lifelong friends.

Mac was employed as a construction manager until his retirement.

He was a member of Kenosha County Club. He was an avid golfer, and he enjoyed participating in their District Golf League. He also played basketball for the Kenosha City League.

Mac is survived by his former wife, Liz McHalffey of Kenosha, WI; two sons, Evan (Nicole) McHalffey of Charlotte, NC and Cory (Lauren) McHalffey of Kenosha, WI; and three grandchildren, Rylie, Luca, and Ajla.

He was also preceded in death by his brother, Bill McHalffey.

A private celebration of life will be held per Mac’s wishes.

I was lucky enough to be Macs hairstylist for many years. I loved when he came in. He always had a story and it usually made me laugh. I will miss him. My condolences to his Family
