Patricia Hansen, age 75, passed away peacefully on February 20th, 2026. Pat was the loving mother of James Hansen (Colleen) and cherished grandmother of Abigail, Elisabeth, and Andrew. Dearest daughter of the late James and Anita (nee Watkins) Steele. Pat was the oldest of four children and is survived by her siblings Michael, Catherine (Julie King) Steele and Margaret (Randall) Frederick along with many nieces and nephews.
Pat moved from Chicago in 1988 to raise her son in Wisconsin near Lake Geneva and to get away from the city life. She worked at Allstate in Northbrook, Illinois for more than 25 years until she retired in 2016. She commuted back and forth daily from Wisconsin to Illinois to give her son the experience of growing up in a small rural town. She loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Simple things brought her joy, like a new Coach purse on her arm or a trip to the flea market for a Disney toy to spoil the kids with. She never won big, but she had an uncanny ability to pick small jackpot lottery numbers and scratch tickets. She loved the thrill of a casino and the sound of a slot machine paying out – with all winnings used to spoil the kids in her life.
A visitation will be held at Proko Funeral Home on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 Noon.

To the family of Pat my dear friend from Allstate. I stopped by to say goodbye to Pat, and I cannot express how beautiful everything was prepared for her at the Funeral Home. Today 3.16.2026 I happened to be working on a policy that she used to service while employed at Allstate, there was her name on the request I just smiled and said Rest in Peace my friend.
