Isabelle R. Olson, 95 years old of Kenosha, WI passed away Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at her home.
She was born September 6, 1930, in Kenosha, WI the daughter of the late Frank and Sophie (Augustine) Trotta. Isabelle attended Bain School, McKinley Middle School, Kenosha High School, and Gateway Technical College.
On August 26, 1950, she married S. Robert Olson at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, and he preceded her in death in 2004.
Isabelle was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii Catholic Church, Kenosha, where she was past president of the Holy Rosary Ladies Society, taught religious education and served as a lector for 37 years. She also volunteered at the church festival for many years and sewed the altar vestments.
She stayed home and raised their four daughters, and was a seamstress for many family members and friends during that time. In 1974, she started employment at the Society for the Preservation of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America, retiring in March of 2004. During her time with the society, she worked in the merchandise department and attended many conventions in the United States and Canada. Isabelle enjoyed cooking, baking, going to Las Vegas, playing Bingo and cards, and especially being with family and friends.
Survivors include her four daughters, Sharon (the late Bill) Lui, Mary (the late Wayne) Jalensky, Carol (the late Kevin Coyle) Olson, and Janet Olson; grandchildren, Tara Jalensky, Michael (Ashlee) Lui, Steven (Amanda) Jalensky, step granddaughter, Beth Rayburn; great-grandchildren, Levi, Cody, Jace, and Lexi; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, husband, and sons-in-law, Isabelle was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Nancy Olson; and siblings, Frank Trotta, Jr in infancy, Ray Trotta, Marion (Andrew) Tufts, and John (Bernadine) Trotta.
Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii Catholic Church, 2224 45th Street, Kenosha, WI. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make a donation to Holy Rosary of Pompeii Catholic Church, in her memory. Arrangements were entrusted to Proko Funeral Home.
