John Ellis "Big John" Cheaney, 75 years old of Pleasant Prairie, WI passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at his home. He was born August 10, 1950, in Kentucky, the son of the late John and Beatrice Cheaney. On January 14, 1967, he married Barbara J. Davis. John leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 58 years, Barbara; son Nicholas Andre (Jennifer) Cheaney of Johnson Creek, WI; two grandchildren, Rozilyn Jean Cheaney and Julius Randall Cheaney; a sister, Leota Brighman of Evansville, IN and many cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a son, John E. Cheaney, II in 2021. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at Proko Funeral Home.
