Shirley was such a beautiful and inspiring lady. Always had a cheerful thought and words of inspiration from scripture for me. She would video chat with me on and off this past year and it was so nice to talk with her. Loved her lots! Hugs to all the family. She will be greatly missed.Love,Marcia Miller

Although I never met Grandma Shirley, I know she was, in part, responsible for my amazing son-in-law, Evan. For that I will always be grateful. Everything I’ve ever heard about her says she was a wonderful person. Getting to know the family as I have, I believe that to be 100% true. Rest easy, Grandma Shirley. It is very clear that you were loved by many.

Marilyn and I had the great honor of working with and volunteering with Shirley at Aurora Health Care. Her beautiful smile brightened every day. The "admissions department" of Heaven all met her at the Gates, of that we are certain. Rest in peace, dear Shirley. Job well done here.

I am the daughter of Shirley's favorite CNA at Brookside Care Center. I too worked at Brookside Care Center and the first time I met Shirley she was so sweet and loving right away. In a way she reminded me of my late grandma, to say the least I fell in love. When I had my son as soon as I could I brought him to Brookside to meet all of my favorite residents including Shirley. She fell in love with my son, I am forever grateful for the impact she imprinted on every single person she encountered. I want to send my deepest condolences to Shirley's family, she will forever be in our hearts.
