Brittany G. Lumley
Brittany Genevieve Lumley, 35 years old, of Kenosha, WI passed away at her home on Monday December 8, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of David and Lorraine (Singer) Lumley, born on July 27, 1990. Brittany was educated in Kenosha, graduating from Tremper High School with honors, where she excelled in academics, cross country and track, and played the Cello in Golden Strings. She went on to earn a teaching degree from University of Wisconsin – Madison and relocated to Seattle, WA for a few years where she was a Kindergarten teacher. She loved working with children but felt compelled to do something more. She moved back home to be closer to her family and later pursued a career in nursing. She earned her nursing degree from Gateway Technical College in 2022. While attending Gateway, Brittany worked as a patient care tech in the ER at Froedtert South. She loved helping people during their most vulnerable times and knew she wanted to start her career as a nurse there. She worked in the ER and urgent care as a nurse for a while before moving on to the orthopedic clinic. Most recently, she worked at Preceptor Hospice in Mount Pleasant as a hospice nurse. Brittany’s true passion was music. She was a talented musician, playing several instruments and playing in a number of bands. While attending UW Madison, she was a cello player with the Symphony Orchestra, and she was currently the lead of her own band, Lumphead - a nickname given to her by her jazz instructor. Brittany was a very talented singer and songwriter. Most recently she produced, released, and promoted her own album and music videos. She also gave private lessons for ukulele and guitar players. Brittany was an extremely gifted artist; she was very creative, and enjoyed drawing, painting, photography and crocheting. Brittany had many talents but none greater than being a mother. Her greatest joy in life was her daughter Charlotte. Brittany cherished every moment they had together. She taught Charlotte many things. Most notably, she taught her to love life, nature, and family. Together they shared a love for animals. Especially their dog, Stella, and new kitten, Luna. Brittany leaves behind her daughter, Charlotte D. Wright; her parents, David and Lorraine (Singer) Lumley; brothers, Matthew (Laura) Lumley, Joseph (Amy) Lumley, and Tyler (Taylor) Lumley; nieces and nephews, Chace, Bryton, Isla, Jackson, Hannah, Hailey, Maxwell, Theo, and Sophia; as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins; her boyfriend, Joey Stuht; and Charlottes’ father, Malcolm Wright. Brittany was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Charles and Nancy Lumley; maternal grandparents, Francis and Dorothy Singer, and an aunt, Diane Singer. Visitation will be held from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Proko Funeral Home. Funeral services will commence at 10:30 a.m. and interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Pleasant Prairie, WI. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to a family memorial, which will be distributed to a trust for Charlotte. Please make checks to Charlotte Wright.

I am so sorry for your loss. You never knew me and I am a little late as sometimes I am in what I do. I am working on my family tree and found that Brittany is my cousin. I watched her videos and she had a beautiful voice. I know she will be missed.

My most memorable moment of Brittany is playing Rock Band in her basement with friends. Running with her and hanging out with her was always fun and she was the best at making everyone smile. Love and blessings to her family. She will be missed.

Brittany was a great friend to me during a really difficult chapter of my life. She was such a compassionate and caring person, and I appreciated her kindness more than words can say. The world has lost a beautiful soul, both inside and out. My deepest condolences to her family, Charlotte, and all the friends and community that loved her.

Brittany is gone way too soon. One time during college in Madison, I had a silly idea to try out for the choir. Brittany gave me a free voice lesson beforehand to make me feel less nervous and didn't laugh at me once. She was really talented and smart.
