Joan (Broemelkamp) Stiles, 76, of Kenosha, WI, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Aurora Medical Center.She was born on February 27, 1949, in Waukegan, IL, to Henry and Helen (Dicig) Broemelkamp. She graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1967, and lived in Boston, Las Vegas, and Waukegan before retiring to Kenosha. While living in Las Vegas, she was heavily involved in the golf community, working for The First Tee of Southern Nevada, and volunteering as the Chairperson for many years for the Las Vegas Senior Classic, as well as a multitude of men’s and women’s collegiate golf tournaments. Throughout her life, Joan enjoyed many hobbies including sewing, trying new recipes, baking, and crocheting.She is survived by her brother, Jack (Sue) Broemelkamp of Waukegan, as well as many cherished nieces and nephews. She is also survived by many wonderful friends at Beech Pointe Senior Apartments. She is preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather Joe Rose, and her older brother James (Dawn) Broemelkamp.A memorial visitation will take place in her honor at Proko Funeral Home on Friday, January 30th, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m.
