Lucille “Lucy” Antonia (Sirocchi) Solovey, 93 of Kenosha was called home to the Lord on September 13, 2025, at Ferguson House/Harvest Home in Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin. Lucy was born on November 27, 1931, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of the late Nazzareno and Rose (Marinelli) Sirocchi. Lucy was born and raised in a traditional and very religious Italian-American household, where God, family, meals and celebrations were the center of life. Lucy honored these traditions throughout her lifetime and was a dutiful daughter, ensuring family meals and memories kept the family close for generations Lucy’s life changed forever when she met the love of her life, Edward “Ed” Solovey, at Kenosha High School through a mutual friend Garlin Sheard. On June 13, 1953, Lucy married Ed at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Kenosha and the two shared 67 years of unwavering love and partnership together. Lucy frequently told her grandchildren, “Your grandfather makes me laugh every day, he always has”. Ed was called to heaven on June 18, 2020. Lucy was employed at Coopers, the Knitting Store and Jockey International. She also served as the commercial locksmith for Ed’s Builder’s Supply, a company she ran alongside her husband. She was a devoted lifelong member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church where she served many roles in supporting and promoting the church. Lucy was a member of a women’s bowling league, walking club, breakfast group, and spent countless hours challenging herself with difficult puzzles. She will be remembered for her generous and gentle nature along with a deep devotion to her faith, family and friends. Lucy is survived by her two daughters; Robin (Rick) Ridolfi and Diane (Domenick) Martinelli; five grandchildren; Amber (Eric Pirkl) Ridolfi, Hillary (Fausto) Fioravanti, Celia (Ben) Kuhl, Dominic Martinelli, Gina Martinelli; eight great grandchildren, Tessa, Ivy & Nola Ridolfi, Stella & Lino Fioravanti, Delilah, Dawson & Declan Kuhl; her sister Mary Rognsvoog, brother & sister-in-law Vince (JoAnn) Sirocchi and sister-in-law Karen Magdech; as well as many wonderful beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Lucy was preceded in death by sisters Theresa (Morris) Jesup, Rosalie (Bill) Gray, brother-in-law George Magdech, sister-in-law Marsha Sirocchi, and daughter Nancy Solovey. The family would like to thank all the wonderful people at Harvest Home in Mt. Pleasant, WI, who showed amazing devotion and care for Lucy as well as St. Croix Hospice who provided assistance, support and comfort to Lucy and family. A special thank you to Corina, from St. Croix Hospice, who treated Lucy, like her own mother, with extra love and care. Special recognition and immense gratitude go Vince and JoAnn Sirocchi for their abundant love and many wonderful deeds shown to Lucy for numerous years and to Karen Magdech and family for the steady stream of beautiful and uplifting cards sent to Lucy. Last, but not least, a special thank you to the many families and friends that have spent time celebrating Lucy’s life throughout the years. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Kenosha, WI with Mass of Christian Burial commencing at 11:30 a.m. Entombment will be private in All Saints Mausoleum, Pleasant Prairie, WI.
