Doris M. Moeller, 83 years old of Kenosha, WI passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Primrose Assisted Living, Pleasant Prairie, WI. She was born May 8, 1942, in Stanhope, IA the daughter of the late Albert and Mabel (Tungesvik) Hill. On June 3, 1964, she married Dale V. Moeller, the love of her life. Doris graduated from nursing school and began working at Victory Memorial Hospital, Waukegan, IL in the recovery department, and ended her nursing career as an operating room nurse. She took immense pride in her nursing career and was an advocate for many. Her interests included gardening, both vegetables and flowers, traveling with her late husband, and being the most devoted grandma. Survivors include her daughter, Dawn (Nicholas) Schmidt, III; grandsons, Nicholas Schmidt, IV and Nolan Schmidt; siblings, Alice Reed, Lester Hill and Larry Hill; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Doris was preceded in death by siblings, Maynard Hill, Virgil Hill, Raymond Hill, Ben Hill, Arnie Hill, and Robert Hill. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Proko Funeral Home. Funeral services with the Wisconsin Nurses Honor Guard will commence at 3:00 p.m. Interment will be private in Sunset Ridge Memorial Park, Somers, WI.
