Aurelia continued her volunteer career by working in the gift shop at Cheboygan Memorial Hospital and became a member of the Daughters of Isabella through their church, St. Mary/St. Charles of the Catholic Community.Aurelia had a calm demeanor and loving heart. She had a smile that lit up the room. She loved cooking meals for her family and cherished the time spent with her grandkids. Dear Tom, Sue and family,We are deeply saddened to hear of Aurelia’s passing and want to extend our heartfelt condolences to your family. It was a true privilege to spend time with Aurelia at the Club. Though she was non-verbal when I met her, her radiant smile spoke volumes. Her presence brought warmth and joy to those around her, and her gentle spirit left a lasting impression on all of us.Aurelia’s lifelong dedication to volunteering was inspiring. It felt beautifully fitting that, in her time of need, she was surrounded by the same kind of compassionate volunteers she had once been herself. As we remember her, we are reminded of the words of Amelia Earhart: “A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees.” Aurelia planted many such trees in her lifetime, and her legacy of kindness continues to grow. Please know that we are holding you in our thoughts during this difficult time. With deepest sympathy,Anna Callan Assistant to the Director Our Harmony Club
