Patrick “Pat” John Wepking, 59, of Pleasant Prairie, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 29th, 2025, at home, surrounded by the love of his wife and family. Pat was born to Paul and Sharon (Kite) Wepking on March 1st, 1966 at 12:25 A.M in room 411A of Kenosha Hospital. Only four days later, in the very next room, his future wife would be born, though they would not meet until 18 years later. As a child and rebellious teen, Pat developed a deep passion for music, a great appreciation for cars, and a love for all things Wisconsin sports. Pat graduated from Central High School in 1984. At 18, Pat finally met the love of his life Denise (Rice) Wepking when the two worked together at Shopko. They were united in marriage on August 10th, 1985. Pat’s greatest joys in life were all things that grew from the love in his marriage. Throughout his marriage, Pat discovered his love for traveling with Denise, especially to the tropical islands of Kauai and Maui. His idea of a peaceful afternoon was a hammock, some tunes, and the crashing waves. Pat and Denise have two lovely daughters, Haley and Kelly, and two fur babies, Rocky and Ozzy. Kelly found the love of her life in Daniel Capel of Madison, Wisconsin, and the couple gave Pat and Denise the three greatest gifts of their lives – their wonderful grandchildren, Owen Patrick, age 7, Ava Rae, age 5, and Emma Mary, age 1. Pat finally found his calling when he became a grandpa, and he loved his three grandkids with his whole heart. Patrick, or Pat to those who knew him, was a man whose passion knew no bounds. The people and things he loved, he loved hard, and the things he didn’t, he made sure you’d know. One of his biggest passions was music, and it was rare he would not have a speaker going. He loved not only listening to the music, but to the message that the words can carry, and always wanted to make sure those he loved shared that same appreciation. He took a similar approach to most things in life – he wanted every detail perfect, so that things could be enjoyed to their fullest. He wanted to share anything he loved with those closest to him – whether that be a recommendation to listen to the lyrics of a song a little closer, or to try *just* a bite of his newest culinary discovery. He was larger than life, a “Mr. Fix It”, he always had the solution for everything, no matter how big, or small, the issue. Pat’s heart was so big, even though he tried to hide it behind his tough exterior. He will always be remembered for his attention to detail, the passion he brought to everything he did, his desire to share all the things he enjoyed, his silly voices that he would make with his grandkids, and his goofy dance moves. He always stood by his word, took the difficult path when it was the right one, and would do anything for the ones he loved. He will be missed by his wife, his daughters, his grandchildren, and his two beloved pups. He is further survived by his parents Paul and Sharon Wepking, his brothers Bart Wepking and Bret (Stacy) Wepking, and sister Brenda (Chris) Barribeau. We hope he is enjoying his endless day in his hammock on the beach in the sky, and we hope he will be there to welcome us when we each make our way on to paradise. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Proko Funeral Home with funeral services commencing at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the ALS Association, the American Heart Association, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in his memory.

Pat my favorite co-worker in the Home Decor Department at Shop-Ko, I remember so many fun times all of us in the back area of the store had. I will never forget the day he taught me how to mix paint, we must have trashed at least 10 pints lol I also remember the first day he saw Denise, he told me you know what Joy, she will be mine! We all went out every Friday and Saturday night till late and all of us got up on Sunday morning just to pull red tags off light bulbs and paint. I always kept in touch with him and Denise after their awesome wedding we had so much fun. When I was going to Hawaii Pat gave me so many ideas and places to go because I think he was true Hawaiian himself he loved it there. His laugh was the best and those beautiful white teeth of his :) . Denise I am so sorry for your loss you gave Pat the best life ever, 2 beautiful kids and a love that is endless. I am sorry I can not be there today but please know that I will be sending you all my love . Rest in Peace Pat I will treasure our friendship forever.

Denise, I'm sorry that life took over and that we lost contact with one another. When I saw that Pat had passed, I knew I had to reach out. I had the privilege of watching you and Pat FALL IN LOVE. It happened fast and dare I say, I think the connection that the two of you had initially scared both of you - at the same time you both knew you couldn't waste the opportunity! The electricity of your love has never left either of you - just look at the smiles over the years. I am so sorry that your love story was cut short - but also remember some never get to feel the kind of love that embodied your marriage to Pat. Sending you love, light and peace at this ever so difficult time.
