Richard Charles Chiappetta

1947 ∼ 2025

Richard C. “Dick” Chiappetta, 77, of Kenosha, WI, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at Hospice Alliance House in Pleasant Prairie, WI, surrounded by his loving family. Born September 5, 1947, in Kenosha, WI, to Charles and Janet Chiappetta. Dick graduated from Holy Rosary and Saint Joseph High School. He went on to attend Gateway College (KTI) for Business. He worked for his family-owned business for 26 years. Fox River Foods bought out Kenosha Poultry Inc. in 1992. He worked for them as a Sales Rep until his retirement in 2015. Dick married the love of his life Susan Stratton on July 8, 1967 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Together they had 3 children, Chuck (Lisa), Mike (Victoria) and Cheri (Brian) Talley. In his spare time, he enjoyed his Corvettes and going to car shows to meet new friends in the hobby. More than anything though, he enjoyed all his grandchildren’s sporting events, which seemed to last all year long. He also took pride in his yard and his wife’s roses. Dick had 6 grandchildren, Brianna, Patrick, Cayden, Camren, Ava and Emma. They were also the loves of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, a younger brother, David; his sister, Carol Houston; and brother-in-law, Dennis. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Proko Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Entombment will immediately follow in All Saints Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family to be used for a charity close to Dick’s heart would be appreciated. Dick Chiappetta was a good father, husband and neighbor. My wife, Carol, and I lived in the Forest Park neighborhood about 3 houses east of Dick and Sue for about 20 years. Good people like Dick and Sue Chiappetta made it a good neighborhood. Dick always had the best kept grass and yard. He also had those fantastic Corvettes. Rest in Peace, Richard Your neighbors, Michael and Carol Stancato

I remember admiring all the beautiful Vettes Dick had as I was growing up and his big personality when he entered the room. He was a great guy, a good friend and a wonderful neighbor. He will be greatly missed. Scott Zaliewski

We were neighbors who lived across the street from Dick and marveled how he took pride in his yard. It was meticulously kept! Another time I witnessed him putting flowers on the front porch for his wife, ringing the doorbell, and running to the side of the home so he wouldn’t be caught. It’s funny the things that we remember! Prayers for comfort to the family at this time.Jerry and Sandy Jensen
