Paul J. Covelli, 74, of Kenosha, WI, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at his home. Born January 2, 1951, in Marano Principato, Cosenza, Italy. He was the son of the late Fiorino and Emilia (Caira) Covelli. He traveled to Kenosha, Wisconsin in 1953, via a boat through Ellis Island and moved to Kenosha, WI. He graduated from Gateway Technical College with a degree in Engineering. Paul was employed by Saginaw Control and Engineering, where he was a pioneer in the electrical enclosure industry and grew the Wisconsin business. His love for designing and engineering, along with his sales skills, made him a force to be reckoned with. He enjoyed cooking, gardening, walking, telling stories, watching old movies, and spending time with his family and friends. He loved baseball, and he was an avid Chicago Cubs fan since he was a child. He had a great sense of humor, lifetime friends from childhood, and was loved by everyone who met him. He will forever be remembered for his cooking, laughter, and big heart. Paul is survived by his wife, Marsha Covelli. His three loving children, Robert (Heather) Covelli of Kenosha, WI, Jennifer Covelli of Pleasant Prairie, WI, and Paul (Azra) Covelli, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ; two grandchildren, Robbie and Alexandria Covelli; two brothers, Frank (Karen) Covelli and Mario (Joann) Covelli; his lifetime best friend Nancy Covelli and his grandpups, Bentley, Bumblebee, Roxi and Bambee. He was preceded in death by his parents. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Proko Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. A graveside committal service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at All Saints Cemetery. Paul was a great friend of mine in jr high. The last time I saw him was at our 25th class reunion and it was like time stood still. You were blessed with the best. So sorry to hear of his passing.
