Leon L. Edmark, age 88, fell asleep in death on January 16, 2025. No more will he be in pain and suffering. He will be asleep in death, until as God has promised in the Bible, he will receive a resurrection to a better world, here on earth. Leon was born to the late Alvin and Bessie (Echtner) Edmark on June 20, 1936, in Racine, Wis., and went to school in Union Grove, Wis. They moved to Waukesha, Wis., and finished schooling and graduated from Waukesha High School. After school, he married Carol Katzner on April 16, 1955. He joined the Navy in 1956 and served during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1959 when he was stationed in Great Lakes Naval Base.He worked for American Motors/Chrysler after he was discharged from the Navy for 33 years. He was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1959 and loved the public ministry. He met and later married Susan Hagen on August 3, 1993, in Las Vegas, Nev. He loved to work in his garage and replace engines and motors for his family and friends. He also owned a body shop that painted cars. If he wasn’t in the garage or shop working, he loved to read and write poetry, listen to classical music, camp, give away trophies and candy to people. He was a giver and helped others no matter what they needed. He was an animal lover at heart and fed the wildlife every day. Leon is survived by his wife, Susan; daughter, Diana (Phil) Mader; sister, Joan Muehl; grandchildren, Matt (Holly) Mader, Chris (Erika) Mader, Megan (Dan) Galler, and Preston (Lexi) Mader; stepchildren, Pam (Rod) Powers, Kim (Paul) Cina, and Tom (Viola) Hagen; great-grandchildren, Madison, Olivia, Gwyneth, Elsa, Jack, Flora, Macklin, Wyatt, and Olivia Mader, Sienna and Grayson Galler; stepgrandchildren, Ryne and Kyle Powers, Nick (Stephanie) Cina, Jacob Cina, Alexandria (Jordan) Hamm, and Ian (Paige Lauer) Hagen; and step great-grandchild, Ivan Hamm.Along with his parents, Leon is preceded in death by his siblings, Muriel (John) Gomez, Elaine (Bruno) Kremin, Yvonne (Steve) Yankovich, Donn (Violet) Edmark, Wayne (Patsy) Edmark, and Allen (Francis) Edmark; and brother-in-law, Eddie Muehl.
