On April 29th 1945, Ronald Lorenzo Bryan was born in St. Mary, Jamaica, to Rachel Daley and Samuel Bryan. Rachel had two children, Ronald and (Shirley) Eunice Mitchell, while Samuel had six children: Cynthia Ormsby, Alma Bryan, Eunice Mathis and twin boys, Lloyd Bryan and VanRoy Bryan .Ronald dedicated much of his childhood to working and enjoying life alongside his closest sister, Shirley. He was an extremely talented tradesman, specializing in plumbing, carpentry, welding, electrical work, construction, and anything he set his hands to do. In fact, he built his first home himself in Black River, St. Elizabeth, Jamaica. Ronald was blessed to secure a job at the Jamaica Bauxite Mining Company. Ronald earned his welding certification in November 1972.In time, Ronald Bryan made the life-changing decision to accept Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior by repenting, being baptized in Jesus' name, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. In 1970, Ronald met the love of his life, Elsie Scott at the United Pentecostal Church located at 68 Wildman Street. They married on December 29, 1971. Elsie migrated to the United States first, and Ronald later joined her in search of better opportunities. Ronald was hired and worked at Smelters, Fiat-Allis, Illinois Beach State Park, and the Holiday Inn utilizing all of his talents as a tradesman. He was relentless and smart and worked to start his own Handyman and Home Improvement business. In the early 1980s, Ronald and Elsie began purchasing homes, and renovating them for rental purposes. Mr. Bryan became the landlord for numerous properties they acquired and restored. Eventually, this enterprising couple expanded their endeavors by purchasing larger apartment buildings, which they managed while continuing to work full-time jobs. Ronald received his Certificate of Citizenship from the United States of America on November 24th, 1981. After settling in the United States, Ronald balanced full-time work with night courses to further his education, earning his general diploma and continuing to build a brighter future for his family. He attended Apostolic Faith Church in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin where Pastor Mark Barnett has been his Pastor since.Ronald is survived by his wife Elsie Bryan, four children: Denise McCarthy (Christopher), Philip Bryan (Cinda), Carol May (LaMonte’), and Annette Davis (Owen).
