Gerald “Gerry” Robert Mengo, 81, of Salem, WI, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 16, 2024, at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital in Pleasant Prairie, WI, with his loving wife by his side. Born on April 11, 1943, in Kenosha, WI, he was the son of the late Alfred Sr. and Florence (Hartnell) Mengo. On May 1, 2002, he married Marietta Fani in Jamaica. Gerry was the owner/operator of Mengo Industries (Dot Line). He enjoyed flying, boating, spending time in Eagle River, WI, and watching old British movies. He is survived by his wife, Marietta Mengo of Salem, WI; his daughter, Lisa Markman of FL; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother-in-law, Jerry (Hilda) Fani; and sister-in-law, Janet Fani. He is further survived by other loving family and friends. Gerry was also preceded in death by his three brothers, Keith, Neil, and Alfred Mengo Jr; and brothers-in-law, Frank and Bruno Fani; and sister-in-law, Jackie Fani. A memorial service will be held at Proko Funeral Home on Saturday, January 4th at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
