Dave Porter of Beach Park, IL passed away peacefully after battling cancer on November 23, 2024, at the age of 72 surrounded by his loving family. Born February 3, 1952, he was the son of Charles J. Porter Sr. and Emma LD (Slappy) Porter. Dave graduated from Waukegan High School in 1970, where he excelled on the track field. He was employed by Commonwealth Edison/Midwest Generation for 43 years. Dave enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling, watching the Chicago Bears, golfing with his son, Jason and watching scary movies with his granddaughter Elliana. Dave’s signature trait was always putting others before himself. His selflessness and compassion were nothing short of amazing. Dave is survived by his wife and best friend, Pamela Porter and children Wesley, Kerri and Jason (Riva); grandchildren, Paris, Jayla, Amourae, Sahara, Caden and Elliana.
