Jane K. Jurca passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2024, at Kenosha Senior Living. Born on June 7, 1940, in Kenosha, WI, the daughter of the late Richard and Margaret (Davison) Roemer. Jane was a lifelong resident of Kenosha and attended local schools. Jane was a graduate of the last class of St. Mary’s Catholic High School, in 1958. Jane would later become a secretary for St. Mary’s Catholic Church for over 40 years. In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her twin sister, Jean Slagoski; brother-in-law, DJ Slagoski; and brother, William Roemer. Jane is survived by her daughters, Dawn Jurca and Sally (Sandor) Marianyi; and beloved grandchildren, Nelson Schneider (Flynn Makuch), Alison (Mitch) Braver, Alex Marianyi (Caroline Eichler), Samantha Marianyi (William Crawford). Jane is further survived by other relatives and friends. Memorial Visitation for Jane will be held on October 25, 2024 from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Proko Funeral Home. Additional visitation will take place the following day, October 26, 2024 from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 7307 40th Ave. Kenosha, WI. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held privately at St. George Cemetery.
