Ellen J. (Owsichek) Folland, age 69, of Pleasant Prairie, WI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 25, 2024, surrounded by her loving family following a brief illness. Ellen was born on March 18, 1955, to Peter and Eva (Wilmot) Owsichek. She attended Forest Park, Lance, and graduated from Tremper High School in 1973. She was united in marriage to John Folland at St. Mary’s Lutheran Church on March 7, 1980, in Kenosha, WI. She was a lifelong resident of Kenosha and Pleasant Prairie. Ellen loved to travel, she’s been to Europe and many states throughout the U.S. She enjoyed trips with her lifelong friends to Michigan, South Carolina, and Galena, IL. Ellen loved spending time in Conover, WI, with friends and family at their summer cottage. Ellen played on city league and co-ed softball teams for nearly 20 years after high school. She bowled in the Koffee Klutch league on Tuesday mornings at Sheridan Lanes. Golf was her passion. After retiring, you couldn’t keep her off the course. She achieved two hole in ones in 3 years. John and Ellen were members at Bristol Oaks and on the ParTee Time league. Her smile and laugh were contagious along with her wit and sense of humor. She cherished every moment she had with her granddaughters.
