Justin Messer

Justin Carl Messer, 46 years old of Kenosha, WI, formerly of Austintown, OH, passed away peacefully in his sleep due to health complications on Thursday, January 25, 2024. He was born December 27, 1977, in Youngstown, OH, the son of Jack Messer and Janette (White) Jones. Justin grew up in Austintown, OH and settled in Kenosha, five years ago.Justin will be remembered for his helpfulness; he would help anyone he could with various projects around their homes. He was a very hard worker, which showed early on - he started with a paper route at age 7. Justin worked hard and became an Eagle Scout in his teens. He enjoyed working in construction, operating equipment on the farm, listening to music, and watching comedies. Justin was a fan of all Cleveland sports, especially the Cleveland Browns. He was an animal lover and had the biggest heart.Survivors include his mother, Janette (Darrel) Jones; his children Randi and Tyler Crouse of Phoenix, AZ; siblings, Jennifer (Dan) Fu of Naperville, IL, Joshua (Brandie) Messer of Vancouver, WA, and Mathew (Emma) Jones of Fennimore, WI; nieces and nephews, Lucas, Emily, and Sadie Fu and Calvin and Timothy Jones.Justin was preceded in death by his father, Jack Messer, maternal grandparents, David and Christine White and his paternal grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Messer. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, February 1st at the Lane Funeral Home Austintown Chapel, 5797 Mahoning Ave., Austintown.Friends may call 5-7 PM Wednesday January 31st and one hour prior to services from 10-11 AM Thursday at the funeral home.Justin will be laid to rest next to his father in the Green Haven Cemetery in Canfield. In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to Sleep in Heavenly Peace, which was an organization that he volunteered for and was very close to Justin's heart, Racine/Kenosha Chapter, P.O. Justin, I’ve known you for five years at Dennys sports den! I will never forget your enthusiasm and good attitude. The way you helped Sandy decorate every holiday cause you were the only one tall enough to reach! I love the way you danced and took such enthusiasm in life. I love the way you played all of Jackie songs that she loved on the jukebox! Hope you’re cheering on the Cleveland Browns forever. Love, Liz.
