Ronald James Buttke, 71, loving husband and father, passed away peacefully at his home in Paris, WI, on Saturday, January 13, 2024. He was born on September 29, 1952, in Mequon, WI, to the late Donald and Esther (Dorrow) Buttke. He married the love of his life Joy Ann James on August 7, 1982.Ron was very passionate about cars, especially racing at Great Lakes Dragaway. He also enjoyed traveling and riding his motorcycle. He was a Paris Township Supervisor for four years and he loved helping his community. Ron loved his dog Sadie, who he took anywhere and everywhere he could.In addition to his wife Joy, Ron is survived by his three children Michelle (Jason) Murray, Donnie (Crystal Tuchalski) Buttke, and Jason (Natalie Freeman) Buttke; three grandchildren Patrick Tomsik, Zachary Murray, and Liam Buttke; two siblings Cindy (Jeff) Niedfeldt and Glenn (Karin) Buttke; and many other family and friends.Visitation for Ron will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Proko Funeral Home until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place, 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 22, 2024, at West Lawn Memorial Park, Racine, WI, with a procession leaving Proko Funeral Home at 9:00 a.m.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit & Sign Ron’sOnline Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

Ron was optimistic and happy. He seemed to always have his camera at the ready and probably took more pictures of the activity on D Dock than anyone else. He helped many new boaters find their water wings and shared his “Ron line” idea with many to aid them with docking. We still refer to it often. May he rest in peace. Tricia and Bob
