Laura Ann Rasmussen, 62 years of age, passed away on December 15, 2023, at Froedtert Hospital in Pleasant Prairie. Born in Illinois on October 6, 1961, she was the daughter to the late Merry (Bisgaard) Kainz and Bernard Kainz. Laura graduated from Warren Township High School in 1979. She spent most of her career in electrical engineering and proudly obtained her associate degree from the College of Lake County. Laura was a loving mother, doting grandmother, caring sister, beloved aunt, and loyal friend. She loved crafting and spreading joy at the holidays and birthdays of loved ones. Laura was creative, generous, and extremely caring in nature. Laura enjoyed shopping and doing various projects around her house and yard. But above all, she truly adored spending time with her family. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her daughter Christina (Walker) Van Arsdale of Round Lake Beach, IL; three grandchildren Parker, Landon, and Avery Van Arsdale; sister Linda Weirich; niece Molly Curtis; great niece and nephew Lily and Joseph Coleman; grand-dogger Murphy; and many other family and friends. Visitation for Laura will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023, from 10:00 am-11:00 am at Proko Funeral Home until time of service at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
