Lisa K. Thompson, 60, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 12, 2023. Born in Kenosha, WI, on July 6,1963, she was the daughter of the late Clell and Judith (Fears) Thompson. Lisa attended schools in Kenosha and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. She became passionate to support causes that were just for all people. Lisa lived her life in Kenosha where she raised her two sons, Benji and Ryan, who were her whole life. She was delighted when she became a grandmother to CT, Axel, Alyssa and Jalen. Throughout Lisa’s life, she also had a deep connection to her cats, most recently Izzy and Odie. Lisa also dedicated her time to volunteer work. Most notably volunteering on the Lydia Spottswood Senate Campaign and advocacy organizations where she nominated awards to those helping people with disabilities. Lisa was a cherished friend to countless people. Her kind heart and sweet nature impacted so many. Her family and friends are comforted with the memories they share. From hanging out at “the barn” riding and taking care of horses, making lifelong friends at Bullen Junior High, and the time she spent at Journey church. She remained friends from her childhood throughout her life and made new ones along the way. Survivors include her children, Benji (Frances) Gonzales and Ryan (Jolene) Gonzales; grandchildren, Clell Thompson “CT”, Axel Jo, Alyssa, and Jalen; siblings, John (Penny) Thompson, and Cheryl (Charles) Wiltshire; and best friends, Heidi Biggs-Garcia and Mona Lisa DeLeon. Along with her parents, Lisa is preceded in death by her siblings, Gloria (Jerry) Frederick and Robert Thompson. Lisa, I'm gonna miss you so much when I first met you we clicked right away.I missed taking care of you every day. I miss texting you, And watching our shows in the morning when I took care of you.
