Truly one of my favorite residents at Brookside. She was a lovely, funny, patient (the Italian words eluded me often!), sweet and so kind! She never failed to inquire about my animals and I was always happy to see her - she never failed to make me laugh. She was truly a dear woman. I was just thinking about her last week as somebody I miss since I no longer worked there. I'll remember her always.

My prayers and condolences to family and friends, my mother Michelina Mazzei worked with her at Italian American Restaurant back in the 70s, my self Frank and my brother Gennaro went to Bain elementary school with her youngest son Mario. Our families' condolences on your loss. I remember your Mom when I used to visit from Chicago. My father was Natale Ventura, son of Domenic and Blandina Ventura. I have attached some photos from a reunion in 2002 with my aunts and uncles and your Mom.

My heartfelt sympathies go out to the entire family for your loss. I so remember Giovannina at ceramics with my mom and aunts. So much fun and laughter. The ravioli she made at the IA were the best. Continued prayers in the difficult days ahead. Tina (Zarletti) Burchard

Gio, you will be so missed. You were such a kind soul with a caring nature. I loved seeing your smiling face at work and hearing you call me Bella or Momma. You were so sweet. I will never forget how you always offered your snacks to me or offered to make me a sandwich in your room or told me to go take a break. I loved getting to know you. Rest in peace Gio.
