Mary C. Hunt, 80, of Mukwonago, WI, formerly of Kenosha, WI, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2023, at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc, WI. Born in Merrill, WI, on May 29, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Rose (Thomas) Smith. In 1963, she married Edwin “Buddy” Phillips. He preceded her in death in 1985. In 1990, she married Jerome “Jerry” Hunt at Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Kenosha, WI. He preceded her in death on January 16, 2019. Mary was employed as an EKG Technician by Kenosha Medical Complex until her retirement in 2015. She was a former member of St. James Catholic Parish in Mukwonago, WI, and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in West Allis, WI. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren; bowling in her younger years; and loved listening to all different types of music. Mary is survived by her two children, Paul Phillips of Chicago, IL, and Michelle (Frank) Schuh of Big Bend, WI; two stepchildren, Jerry Hunt Sr. of Kenosha, WI, and Darlene Hunt of Tampa, FL; seven grandchildren; April (Gerrett) Kordus, Travis (Kelly) Rowland, Cullen (Elise) Schuh, Courtney (Taylon) Remus, Jerry (Megan Butler) Hunt Jr., Beth (Brian) Coppersmith, and Daniel Hunt; four great grandchildren, Gavin, Ashton and Rhylan Kordus, and Landyn Rowland; one brother, Floyd (Loretta) Smith of Merrill, WI; one sister, Beverly Tiffany of Athens, WI; many special nieces, nephews; and other loving family and friends. She was also preceded in death by her great grandson, Caleb Schuh; sister, Marsha Peterson; and brother-in-law, Frank Tiffany. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, October 27, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00noon, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 7821 W Lincoln Ave, West Allis, WI 53219. Interment in Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion, IL will be on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. Memorials to the American Heart Association, or Project Bubaloo would be appreciated by the family. Mary and Jerry bowled for many years at Sheridan Lanes. It was always a bright spot in our day when they were there. I remember Mary as such a caring, giving lady. My sympathies to her family. Barb Marescalco
