in January 2017 I sat on the couch of Jack's office with my two colleagues, having just launched the nonprofit LOTUS Legal Clinic with hope, a prayer and a vision and little else. We were being considered for an extremely generous low cost rental of space in Anick's building and accounting services. Jack asked us some tough questions, in the most quiet way. He was blunt, kind, and made us laugh and maybe take ourselves a little less seriously- a tall order for lawyers working with sexual assault and human trafficking. Little did we know his and Linda's years of experience helping start-up nonprofits thrive. Over years, we worked closely with the team and basically felt like part of the family, using their big conference room table for our first Board meetings, and popping up and down the staircase for their fantastic advice and support. My happiest memories of LOTUS"s early years are literally because of Jack and Linda, Stacey, Shelly and Kevin, who gave us a home and helped us grow with a solid foundation as a nonprofit. Jack's smile was pure light. I will always be grateful to him and to your entire family- I am so sorry for his unexpected loss. I wish he had not left us all so soon. - with love, Rachel Monaco

Jack would drive to Racine for his hair appointments. It was such a pleasure to see him and listen to stories that he would share with me about different experiences and events that occurred during his lifetime. He was always in a good mood and so gracious and humble. Truly such a wonderful man. He will be missed dearly!I feel blessed having known him! Dawn Yager

Dear Linda & family;I was so surprised to see of Jack's sudden passing!I can't forget all the times he plowed our driveway while living next door. It would be cold, blowing snow, & I'd hear the big Toro working outdoors! He'd get your driveway done and then just keep moving up & down to the neighbors on all sides, Bless his Heart (it was a big one). He was too young to die on such a special holiday! But obviously, he was special to God, too.I'm sure flights of angels, singing joyously, carried him to his eternal resting place! Peace & Grace of God be with you all. I pray for your family to be comforted and hold each other close during the coming days & months. Deanna & Howard Young

I am so sorry to hear of Jacks passing. Early in my career I was department head for Easter Seals and subsequently found myself in a leadership position making decisions regarding the entire organization. As a department head, I found the internal financial reporting to be confusing so in my new capacity I sought to hire an outside firm. This is where I met Jack and Linda. It's difficult talking about Jack without mentioning Linda. They were a good team. Hiring them was one of the best decisions I made while with this organization. I greatly valued their expertise, support and encouragement but more importantly it is their friendship that I value the most. I know they genuinely cared what happened to this organization and me. I am so grateful our paths crossed and was enriched by their presence. My thoughts and prayers are with Linda, her family and friends that surround her. Bob Petrosik

Words cannot express the sadness I am feeling right now. What a great person John was. He took my sister into his family without question. Linda and John took care of her as if she was their own. For that I am forever grateful. I wish we had met in person so I could personally thank you. RIP John.Kim Cole (Beyer)
