Frank Raymond Cragle, 60 years old of Pleasant Prairie, WI passed away Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at his home. He was born October 29, 1962, in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Raymond Cragle and Lois Smith. Frank proudly served in the U.S. Navy. On April 4, 1991, he married Reina Mejia in Waukegan, IL. Frank was quick-witted and was always working on something. He was more than a Jack of All Trades; Frank was a strong leader but with a soft heart. He was also a good father to many; he loved the Lord and feared God. He loved his family fiercely, although he would come across serious, he loved unconditionally. He enjoyed watching movies, especially Sci-Fi, and his most cherished times were spent with his family. Frank was not afraid to share his opinion and enjoyed a lively discussion. When you struck his funny bone, Frank’s belly laugh was very contagious. Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Reina; children, Rocio (David) Ruck of Trevor, WI and Alan (Grady) Cooper of McHenry, IL; nieces and nephews, who were like children to him: Shari Velasquez, Michael Madden, Derek Ross, David Calhoun and Daryl Calhoun; eight grandchildren, Adleigh, Ayden, JJ, Alex, Aaliyah, Annabella, Elisheva, and Giovanna; and his brothers and sisters-in-law. Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Proko Funeral Home. I have been brought to tears by this. I called this man pop’s. He made the biggest impact in my life. I had an amazing friend for life!!! He let me call his amazing wife mom and he’d always say mom misses u. Frank got me tickets to the bucks games and held my hand through the hard times. I will miss him more than any words could explain. I met Frank in his worst of times when his kidneys failed. He refused care from anyone other than me and our friendship started there. God bless reina all the kids and those little grandkids he adored so much.

It was my great pleasure to have known and worked with Frank. Frank always had great stories to share and had a desire to mentor those around him. His heart was to make others better, and there are many many lives he touched, including mine. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 says "All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us." May the peace and comfort of God be with the Cragle family and friends at this time, and know we are here for you!

My deepest condolences to the friends and family. I was his Sales Rep for the last 6 years at Sherwin Williams. He was one of my favorite customers. He was a hard worker and very dedicated in all that he did. He had great stories to share, and did have the most infectious smile and laugh.. We always chatted about family whenever we spoke. He had the sweetest love for his wife and children. He will truly be missed.

I spent many long hours with Frank. He was a fun-loving ,hard-working, very serious yet, love to laugh. He loved his wife Reina and he loved his children and was looking so forward to the recent wedding and really excited to spend time with his grandchildren. In the year that I got to know Frank he was drawing closer and closer to God. Through our many conversations he was very sure that his relationship with God through Jesus Christ was very secure. I personally am comforted and assured of that fact, just because of conversations. My friend Frank, know that I will truly miss you we had great conversations ,great lunch times ,and you taught me very much in the little time that I knew you. You will be missed my friend but I will see you in heaven rest assured. Greg Rich
