I got to know Don when I worked with his mom at Barden's. He also served on the sheriff's department with my father-in-law. He was always kind and gracious and always had a smile to share. We moved in just down the road about 25 years ago and he always had a wave when one of us would pass the other's house! I will miss our conversations and his smile. May peace be with the family.

One of those really good guys. Knew him since high school, since Judy since living in the neighborhood on 75th St, and the quiet guy at the Pig.

Donnie and I shared many adventures both in patrol and as detectives. And always had "a drink or two" at the 3rd herd Christmas party. He was a great partner and detective and taught me a lot about being a good cop. He will be missed by many.

Don was a class act. I have nothing but fond memories of him when he worked the west end of the county. Always felt comfortable knowing Don was on shift and working our area. A true professional. (Dan Chlebos, former Twin Lakes PD Lt & Acting Chief)
