Douglas Andrew Jaworek
Doug Jaworek, 56, passed away after a long battle with his autoimmune disease on November 24, 2022, at 3:49 AM, at the University of Chicago. He was surrounded by the people he loved most. He was born in Findlay, OH, to Judy Moore and Walter Gibson Jaworek who both predeceased him. Loving parent of Jenny and Sammy, beloved spouse of Liz, amazing Ommer to many niblings and beloved grandparent/father to the sweeties. A great friend, a kind human being, an excellent sibling-in-law, favorite in-law, and a gift to all who knew him. Doug is a computer engineer who loved all things tech, an avid sports fan, a wonderful LGBTQIA+ ally, a huge music fan, a brilliant mentor, and a lover of education, but what he was most proud of, his favorite role, was being an amazing father to his amazing kids. Services for Doug will be held privately. Arrangements were entrusted to Proko Funeral Home. He will be so dearly missed, in lieu of flowers please donate to his favorite charity: the ACLU. www.action.aclu.org/give/tribute-aclu-wi.“And when the brokenhearted people, living in the world agree, there will be an answer, let it be.”“Oh, yeah, I'll tell you somethingI think you'll understandWhen I'll say that somethingI wanna hold your hand”“Here comes the sunHere comes the sun, and I sayIt's alright”Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th Street Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit & Sign Doug’s Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

I am saddened by this news. I had the pleasure of working with Doug and it was always a great experience. Doug was one of the nicest people I worked with. He will be missed.

I had the pleasure and privilege of working with Doug at Wolters Kluwer, where he was well-respected and revered by his colleagues and associates. He was a friendy, gentle soul and is missed by all of us who knew him.
