Joseph Raymond Sheedy, 82, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at Lakeview Specialty Hospital in Waterford, WI. Born in Dearborn, MI, on December 22, 1939, Ray was the son of the late Joseph Mel and Mary Helen (Truelove) Sheedy. Ray proudly served in the US Navy for 4 years, followed by 5 years of service in the CIA. He went on to have a distinguished career in telecommunications, culminating in 17 years at Walgreens. Ray was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed doing the “morning rounds” around the lake house, yardwork, golfing, bowling, ping-pong, pinochle, and sudoku puzzles. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing. His jovial spirit and infectious laughter will be missed by all. Survivors include his partner of 21 years, Pamela Hartig; four sons, Joseph (Barb) Sheedy, Mark (Jeannie) Sheedy, Raymond (Natalie) Sheedy, and Ryan (Melanie) Sheedy; four siblings, Lorraine Smith, Wes (Audrey) Sheedy, Marge (Randy) Smith, and Beth (Jim) Brancheau; two step-children, Cindy Balistreri and Ron Fojtik; eight grandchildren; and the mother of his children, Minh Sheedy. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends. The family would like to thank his wonderful in-home caregivers, the ICU staff at Ascension All Saints Hospital on Spring Street, as well as the staff at Lakeview Specialty Hospital for the excellent care Ray received. Ray was the older "cool guy" when I was growing up across the street from the Sheedy family. I looked up to him. I'm sorry I didn't learn of his passing until today when I was reading the Sacred Heart Excaliber. My sincere condolences to the Sheedy Family,
