I was very sad to hear of Uncle Helmut's passing and it brought back memories to me of him visiting us in Canada when he was about 20 years old and I was just 6, and he took me and my brothers to a corner store and bought us some cherries and to this day I remember them being the sweetest cherries I have ever had....He is with family now in Heaven and I send a picture of a Cardinal I took, to Look over you all and understand he had love birds and all living things...Horst Fallak (Hoss)

I am so sorry for your loss. I will be unable to attend Helmut's visitation on Monday. I have many fond memories of our trips to Florida with our families, and our wonderful birthday parties and New Year's Eve celebrations. I will be thinking of you on Monday.

We are sorry to lose our wonderful neighbor and friend Helmut. He so enjoyed his home in Fairfield Bay and always his gorgeous view. He loved feeding the birds and tending his flowers. He would invite us for coffee and pie and tell us stories of his life in Germany and his many family vacations to every National Park in the U.S. from Alaska to Key West. Special years and memories he enjoyed so much. We will dearly miss him, a kind and gentle man. May he now rest in peace. God bless him and his family. With our love and deepest sympathy,Ian and Rosemarie Snyder

I am so sorry to hear of Helmut's passing. Our neighborhood won't be the same without him. I used to see him most everyday when I walked my dogs by his condo & he enjoyed seeing & petting them. He was so kind to all animals & he'll be sorely missed by the cats who were often around, following him when he working in his yard. His beautiful flowers were enjoyed by all who walked down our road. Our heartfelt condolences to all the family. Grace & Turgut Gokturk

I had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Fallack through the Fairfield Bay Senior Community Center. Many of us learned of Mr. Fallack's passing this morning as we were preparing to play Bingo. Mr. Fallack would sit at the table across from me. He sat there so that he could read my lips as I called the bingo numbers. A few ladies reminded us that he would call "bingo, maybe" when he had a good bingo 😊. I can still here him say this. Mr. Fallack shared his garden with me one day when I had the privilege of driving him home after bingo. His vehicle was in the shop. He shared with me his story, family photos and his beautiful garden. I do recall walking into his home and commenting that his view was a million dollar view. Your Dad will be greatly missed. Sending my sincere condolences. May God's love and peace surround you. Please know that Mr. Fallak will be greatly missed by all of us at the senior center.

My husband and I are new comers to Fairfield Bay.Our family has only made it to the “lake house” a handful of times. Each time we were there, Helmut was out working in the yard.He always “welcomed” us, and was curious about what we were going to do that day.He loved talking with the grandchildren, and pointing out the different varieties of plants in his yard. His garden was amazing! He often offered me advice on what to plant, and borrowed me the tools to do it. He would make a point to slowly drive by, or walk past A2 to see if I was doing it right.I’m sorry that I didn’t have more time to get to know him better.May you Rest In Peace, Helmut.Teresa DriscollHe certainly is a “one of a kind”, and h
