So sorry to hear about this; months after Gerry's passing. I had occasion to work with him on and off for over 25 years; Gerry was remarkable in that he was always upbeat, friendly, and never had a bad word to say about anyone else. There are few people who can be relied upon to consistently bring a smile; and Gerry was that guy. All the best to the friends and family he leaves behind.

This one really hurts. I had the honor of working with Gerry for 8 years in the Abbott Carpenter Shop. Being a young carpenter, it was great having Gerry to learn from, he always took the time to share his tips and never got down on me if I made a mistake. We called Gerry, The Mayor because he never met a stranger and he just never stopped talking.. and we loved him for it. The pranks and jokes were always flowing in our shop and he always had a great sense of humor about everything. My last communication with him was a text congratulating us on our expected baby. Kind, funny, smart, talented.. gone too soon. Love you Buddy! Dan Harrah

Gerry was a great friend and would do anything that one would request. Many times while we worked together at Abbott and AbbVie, he was very quick, thorough and professional at performing or supervising work I needed done. I never had to check on the work, I always knew if Gerry was involved it would be done perfectly. He was great to work with and when we met outside of Abbott or AbbVie, he always had a kind word and his cigar filled smile will always be a great memory!
