Barbara Ann Boucher Bloedow was born September 2, 1934, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Edward and Gertrude (Nicholls) Boucher. She was a graduate of Zion Bible Institute, Providence, Rhode Island. She was a longtime member of Milwaukee Gospel Tabernacle/Brookfield Assembly of God and, more recently, Prayer House Assembly of God in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Barbara served God and the church by teaching Sunday school, writing skits, organizing events and programs, leading Bible studies and prayer groups, counseling the hurting, nurturing the growing, and hosting an hour-long weekly Christian radio show. Barbara willingly and capably did big things for God. But her greatest ministry – and her passion – was prayer. Her nieces and nephews, siblings, friends, neighbors, brothers, and sisters in Christ – even strangers – were fortified, encouraged, challenged, and blessed by her powerful prayers and spiritual insight. Barbara was proceeded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Bloedow; and siblings Eunice, Edward, June, and Louise. She is survived by her siblings Jeanette Venske, Louis (Geri) Boucher, Gerti (Kirby) Weeden, and Sandra (Joe) Miller, as well as many nieces, nephews, and special friends. Special thanks to Tandra Skowronski for her excellent care, friendship, and love for Barb during her last months. Visitation will take place on Monday, November 1, 2021, at Prayer House Assembly of God, 1525 24th Ave. Kenosha, WI 53140 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
