Bruce James Bennett, 67 years old of Kenosha, WI passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Aurora Medical Center, Kenosha, WI, surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 3, 1954, in Kenosha, WI the son of the late Frank J. and Inez E. (Viola) Bennett and remained a lifelong resident. Bruce graduated from Mary. D. Bradford High School, Kenosha in 1972, and in 1976, he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carthage College, Kenosha. On October 23, 1976, he married Rosetta Filippelli at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii Catholic Church, Kenosha. Bruce worked as an insurance claims director, and was a former member of local, state, and national insurance associations. He was a man of strong faith, with a larger-than-life personality. He loved being around people, cooking and entertaining. Bruce also enjoyed music, traveling, and spending time with his four-legged companion, Millie. He was very active with youth sports; Bruce coached Kenosha Youth Football and CYO, Little League, soccer, baseball and softball. He also coached AAU Traveling baseball for four years. He was inducted into the Kenosha Unified Sports Hall of Fame, and enjoyed golfing, gardening, and watching sports, especially the Green Bay Packers. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Rosetta; three children, Michael Bennett of Phoenix, AZ, Michelle (Alan) DeLoria of Pleasant Prairie, WI and Marlena Bennett of Kenosha, WI; two brothers, Bradley (Carol) Bennett of Florida and Ret. Lt. Col. Barry (Elizabeth) Bennett, USAF of Kenosha, WI; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Bruce was preceded in death by his brother, James Bennett; a niece, Alicia Bennett; grandparents, Domenico and Elvira (Zarletti) Viola and George and Nylene (Heinz) Bennett; and in-laws, Francesco and Carmela (Bosco) Filippelli. The Bennett family would like to extend gratitude to Drs. Ganesh and Bharathi Pulla, the Aurora Medical Center Staff, and Chaplain Jeremy Bryan for their care and compassion. God Bless Bruce, I always loved to call him Bruster's Millions. He did have a personality that was bigger than life and he was a warm loving guy. He loved his Kids and Family very much. Mike your Father was a real Man of Men and a great role model for others. To the Bennett Family.Louise and I were taken back by the death of Bruce. I (Tom Oldani) worked with Bruce on Holy Rosary Sports Night for many years.Bruce brought innovation and excitement with his ideas to Sports Night. Bruce has a great sense of humor and a smile you couldn't forget.
