Dennis Lyman Halverson
Dennis L. Halverson, 71, of Kenosha, passed away on Tuesday, June 15, 2021, at his residence. Born in LaCrosse, on July 16, 1949, he was the son of Lyman and Grace (McCabe) Halverson. He attended the University of Whitewater and studied history. Dennis worked at American Motors/Chrysler for over 30 years and retired in 2000. He enjoyed golfing – especially earning two holes-in-one, fishing, watching sports, listening to and attending multiple concerts of the Rolling Stones, and was an avid reader about the Civil War. Surviving Dennis is his mother, Grace; two brothers, Richard (Pat), and Mark (Kathie) Halverson; two sisters, Karen (Bill) Vincent, and Mary (Don) Birkholz; a brother-in-law, Brian Portilia; 10 nieces and nephews, Kellee, Tim (Gina), Lisa (Chris), Rianna (Josh), Brian (Jen), Brock (Nadia), Billy (Kate), Brett, Jeremy, and Jillian; and is further survived by many great nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Lyman; a sister, Nancy Portilia; and a nephew, Erik. Visitation will take place on Monday, June 21st, at Proko Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. Entombment will take place privately at All Saints Mausoleum.
