Sandra A. Bogardus, 61, of Kenosha, passed away on Sunday, May 9, 2021, at Froedtert South St. Catherine’s in Pleasant Prairie, WI. Born on March 27, 1960, in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late Jim and Monica (Burk) Olson. She moved to Kenosha 20 years ago. She spent almost 40 years with the love of her life, Theodore Leitner. He preceded her in death on April 15, 2020. Sandra loved watching black and white movies, drinking coffee, having her daughter paint her nails and do her hair, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her family was her world. She is survived by her three loving children, David (Lindsay Wasion) Leitner of Kenosha, Tony Leitner of IL, and Elice (David) Schraeder of Kenosha; 10 grandchildren, Joseph Leitner, Mason Wilde, Travelle Leitner, Logan Rognsvoog II, Andrew Rognsvoog, Cameron Leitner, Alivia Sitar, Alayna Sitar, David Sitar Jr., and Takota Sitar; one sister, Michelle Bogardus; and three nieces, Armida Martinez, Tracey Brown, and Teresa Brown. Sandra was preceded in death by parents; he beloved, Theodore; her niece who was like a daughter, Monica Martinez at 31 years old just last week; and siblings, David Bogardus, Denise (Jeff Carlise) Brown, and Liz Sloan. I work for southport transportation an sandy touched me in so many ways she was my precious cargo while riding with us .....thats what I always called her.......my favorite memory was when we got starbucks one day an got to have coffee with her an chat for a bit ....I am proud to have called her friend....she will be forever missed an thought of ........she is watching over all of us an flying with all my drivers to make sure there safe......missing you much sandy go rest high upon the mountain top........love always jennifer

I am so sad that I didn't know earlier about the passing of Sandy. I was one of the many drivers that was responsible for getting her to her appointments. She was such a loving person and such a great friend in the short time that I was gifted with to be considered one of her friends. So will be forever with us.
