Aldus Gladney, Jr., 93, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 26, 2021, at his residence with family by his side. Born in Chicago, on December 24, 1927, he was the son of the late Aldus and Annie (Clark) Gladney. He came to Kenosha in 1936 and was educated in the schools of Kenosha. On November 1, 1947, he married Jane Marie Bates in Chicago. She preceded him in death on January 2, 2000. Aldus was a supervisor at AMC for over thirty years and retired on April 1, 1983. He was a pillar member at St. Mark Catholic Church for over 60 years. There he served as an usher, volunteered for charity organizations, and helped with Friday Fish Fry during Lent. Aldus spent time outside of work doing photography both as a hobby and for events, helped disabled individuals, and was involved with the Kenosha Noon Lions Club. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his four children, Andre, Burnett, Alphonsus, and Valrie; five grandchildren, Robert, Terriel, Sentell, Lashanya, and Jacob; and three great-grandchildren, Asia, London, and Brooklyn. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Aside from his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by three daughters, Rosalyn on January 9, 1990; Valerie and Rosalyn in infancy; and a sister, Bernice Thomas. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 31st, at Proko Funeral Home, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, April 1st, at St. Mark Catholic Church, 7117 14th Ave, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at St. James Cemetery.
