Eric, I read the posted message about Arlene's death, and I am filled with really sweet memories of her participation in First Pres' Thursday Bible study. She definitely was a "joy-bringer" who loved with exuberance and passion. She also loved Jesus and desired to grow in faith and trust. I am thankful for the few years we shared together our study of scripture as well as our Swedish heritage. Arlene's smile and personality left a mark on my life. God's peace to you and your family. The picture on this website says it all - Arlene was such a person of joy and love. She always had a smile on her face, and a good word for anyone she encountered. I remember her with Eric at the front desk of the church for dinner on so many evenings. They clearly loved each other and fed on each other’s joy. Arlene also loved the Lord - I pray that she is experiencing unimagined joy in his presence now - even as she is so missed here. May the Lord be with all of her family and friends...
