My deepest sympathy to the family of Katherine Barlow. I'm so sorry for your loss. I grew up in a neighborhood in the 50's on 20th Avenue. I think the address was 6519 - 20th Avenue. It was a beautiful neighborhood back then and the block had at least 20 children that became my friends. One of my best friends back then was a young girl (about my age then) was "Kitty" Berry, who lived across the street from me. In the Summer time the two of us, plus other kids in the neighborhood... played all morning till our parents had to call us in for lunch...after lunch we would go out and play with the kids on the block until it was supper time and out again we would go and play till dark and our parents would call us in for the night. "Kitty" as I knew her was a wonderful, kind, thoughtful, and a fantastic friend to play with. We must have been about 10 or 11 years old. Years went by and my family moved and I lost track of "Kitty". I remember reading in the Kenosha News that she married a classmate of mine at Mary D. Bradford High School...Russell Barlow. I was saddened to read in the paper this morning that my dear neighborhood pal "Kitty" had passed away. I knew her parents and husband and I'm sure she's happy to be reunited with them in Heaven now. I pray that God's love and peace will help Katherine's adult children, grandchildren, siblings and other members of her family...at this very difficult time. Judy (Bullamore) Nyland.
