Leocadio Magaña, 82 years old, passed away Friday, December 18, 2020, at Vista Medical Center East, Waukegan, IL. He was born May 29, 1938 in Sahuayo, Michoacán, Mexico, the son of the late Leocadio and Concepcion (Orozco) Magaña. On December 31, 1962, he married Maria Soledad Navarro in Mexico and she preceded him in death August 27, 2020. Leocadio was a dedicated, hardworking man and was a devoted Catholic. He cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include his children, Ramon (Nancy) Magaña, Humberto (Rosemary) Magaña, Maria V. Diaz, Daniel Magaña, Yolanda (Ruben Cruz) Gonzalez, Griselle (Ricardo) Paz, and Nora (Daniel) Sanchez; a brother, Jose Magaña; a special brother-in-law, Ramon (Brenda) Navarro; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, Leocadio was preceded in death by siblings, Maria Magaña and Jesus Magaña. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Proko Funeral Home. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 am on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ascension Catholic Cemetery, Libertyville, IL.
