Joy S. Brown, 57 years old of Trevor, WI passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020, at her home. She was born February 7, 1963, in Chicago, IL the daughter of Joseph J. and Annetta (McKellar) Skotnicki. She grew up in Chicago and graduated from Madonna High School. She later moved to Libertyville, IL and then Antioch, IL before settling in Trevor, WI in 2002. Joy was musically inclined; she was a talented piano player, as well as other instruments such as the clarinet and flute. She loved animals, especially cats. She worked in pet services, whether helping rescues, or placing pets for adoption, she loved them all. While in Antioch, Joy worked for the Antioch Public Library District, where she made many friends. Joy was well loved and will be missed by her family and friends from her lifetime. Survivors include her brother, Joe (Joanie) Skotnicki of Munster, IN; niece Erin Niles; and numerous cousins and their families in the Pine City, Minnesota area. Joy was preceded in death by her mother, Annetta in 2007. Funeral services and interment will be private. Arrangements were entrusted to Proko Funeral Home.
