Catherine Ann Connolly

Catherine Ann Connolly, 76, of Kenosha, passed away at her residence on Monday, April 6, 2020. Born in Waterloo, IA, on January 19, 1944, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Irvin) Connolly. Catherine graduated with a bachelor’s degree in education from Marquette University and went on to earn her master’s degree in education from Carthage College. She worked for KUSD for many years as a foreign language educator, primarily French and Spanish, and retired in 2003. Survivors include her five children, Jennifer Connolly, Erin (Victor) Walker, Joshua Connolly, Andrew (Heather) Connolly, and Christine (Mark) Hammelev; her beloved grandchildren, Catherine (Mike) Vences, Michael (Kaylyn Norris) Connolly, Maxwell and Mekhi Walker, Josh, Jenna, Drew, Patrick, Thomas and Arianna Connolly, and Alex and Nicholas Hammelev; her great-grandchildren, Sienna, Alani, Atlas, Odin, and a baby girl on the way; and her best friend, Joy Bjerk. She is further survived by cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She is preceded in death by her sister, Mary (David) Flippin. Services for Catherine were held privately. Ann, was one of the funniest, sharp witted and loving person you could know. She loved her family and her grand and great grand children dearly. She will be so missed , but also so remembered.
