Linda S. Meyer, 79 years old of Racine, WI, formerly of Spencer, IA, passed away Sunday, February 9, 2020, at Villa at Lincoln Park from the ravages of Alzheimer's disease. She was born November 7, 1940, in Pocahontas, IA the daughter of the late Herbert and Thelma Hammer. Linda owned and operated The Kitchen Store for many years with her husband Robert Meyer. She enjoyed sewing, reading and working with her hands. She loved being with her family and telling stories. Survivors include children, Randy Morfitt of Madison, WI, Jeff (Margee) Morfitt of Port Angeles, WA and Annette (Dirk) Jensen of Shorewood, WI. She is also survived by her sisters Marilyn Taylor and Rhonda Hampton, her sister in law, Marilyn Hammer, and her grandchildren Samuel Jensen (Andrew Schroeder), Seth Jensen (Laura Sater) and Carter Morfitt. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Thelma and Herbert Hammer, her husband, Robert Meyer, her brothers Sherrill Hammer and David Hammer and her brothers-in-law Ray Hampton, Darrell Schumacher and Gary Taylor. Due to current health concerns, services for Linda will be private in Iowa.
