Idell Stubbs, Sr., 75, of Kenosha, joined the Lord on Friday, October 18, 2019, at The Bay at Sheridan Health & Rehab. Born on January 21, 1944, in Baldwyn, MS, he was the son of the late Horace and Lytie (Stubbs) Buress. He professed a belief in God at an early age. He attended Baldwyn High School, then moved to Chicago in 1961. Idell met Emma Dean and they were united in holy matrimony on December 17, 1994, in Mound Bayou, MS. Idell worked for General Electric for over 35 years before his retirement. He enjoyed playing softball for the GE team. He was a quiet man who enjoyed having a good time and a good laugh. He leaves to cherish his wife of 25 years, Emma; his children, Karon (Darryl) Joyner of Chicago, IL, Idell (Margo) Stubbs, Jr., of Chicago, IL, Anita (Calvin) Brown of Bellwood, IL, LaTonya (Tyrone) Sutton of Kenosha, WI, and Kallie Robinson of Chicago, IL; four granddaughters; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren; a brother, Zeford Elkins of Baldwyn, MS; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends. He is preceded in death by a son, Kenyette Dean. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 26, 2019, at Proko Funeral Home.
