It was sad to learn this week that LaVon has passed away. She was a classmate and friend during our years at Whitehall High School. We enjoyed seeing and visiting with LaVon at our school reunions, and most recently our 50th class reunion in Whitehall in 2015. My sympathy to her husband, sons and extended family, and to her brothers Bob and Lyman and their families for your loss. Keep your memories close. Ellen Koxlien

I was so saddened to get the news of La Von's passing. She was such a great childhood friend. I have so many wonderful memories of playing together at our respective childhood farms in Pigeon. Summer games and just running around, talking and sharing silly things. What a wonderful person. My sincere sympathy to John and all of the Wick and Back family. Bonnie Burt Sacia

Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. The Bible can bring you much hope and comfort at a time like this. Within its pages are the promise found at Revelation 21:3:4. God is going to end all suffering and death. We also read about the wonderful promise of the resurrection found at John 5:28:29.
