Robert F. Lang, 49, of Kenosha, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019, at his residence. He was born in Angol, Chile, on April 30, 1969, the son of the Methodist missionaries, Russell and Nancy (Hinton) Lang of Craig, Nebraska. Robert graduated from Kansas State University with his bachelor’s degree in Milling Science and Management and was employed by Ardent Mills in Kenosha for 21 years. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, through which he was able to follow his parent’s legacy and became a missionary. His mission work would eventually lead him back to his birthplace in Chile where he met Anita Hernández Villagrán. They later wed and together raised three children in Kenosha. He was the kind of husband who always supported, the kind of father who always provided and the kind of friend who was always there. Robert had a passion for history, loved to travel and loved the Cubs. His caring demeanor, love for his family, and his mission work is continued by his three children. Before his passing Robert said, “I got to travel, I raised three wonderful kids, and I met the love of my life, I’m at peace.” He is survived by his wife, Anita; three sons, Orlando, Pablo, and Esteban; and four siblings, Christina Lang of TX, Rowan (Kim) Lang of NE, Larry (Lauren) Lang of VA, and Jon Lang of IL. He is further survived by other family members and friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 24th, at Proko Funeral Home, from 12:00 noon until the time of service 2:00 p.m. Interment will be private.Proko Funeral Home & Crematory5111-60th StreetKenosha, WI 53144Phone: (262) 654-3533Visit & Sign Robert’s Online Memorial Book at:www.prokofuneralhome.com

Please accept my sincere condolences for your loss. When someone you love dies, you often find some measure of comfort in the memories you have. Something else that can bring comfort is the knowledge that you are not alone in your remembrance of them. John 5:28, 29: “Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out...” The term “memorial tombs” as used in this verse carries the implication of preserving the memory of the one who has died. In this context it suggests that the person who died is remembered by God. So overtime you may feel that you are the only one who remembers your loved one, but God has not forgotten then. His memory is not ravaged by time, and he will use his memory to restore life to those who have fallen asleep in death. May this knowledge bring you comfort during this difficult time.

Our hearts go out to the entire Lang Family from all of us in the Burt County Extension Office and the Craig community. The Lang Family was always active and excelled in Burt County 4-H and those of us near and dear to them wondered how they ever kept Burt County 4-H dates and deadlines straight with Robert's Dad, Russell in Extension in Dodge County and his Mom, Nancy in Extension in Thurston County!!They all were a very loved and important part of Burt County 4-H and the Alder Grove United Methodist Church Community.Such a loss at such a young age. With sincere sympathy, Mary and Steve Loftis

Since I was the youngest of five in my family, and Robert (my nephew) was the youngest in his family, his father, Russell, instructed me to look over the copy of the new Nebraska Atlas containing Russell's prize map, and then send it on to Robert and Anita to have for their family. Robert kindly let me know that he had received it, and we had a short correspondence regarding his love of history and the immense amount of work that he had done in tracing back both sides of our families for many centuries. Russell was so proud of him for picking up that mantle. In my conversations with him near the end of his life, Russell spoke often of his love and admiration for the accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. I know that he was so happy that Anita and Robert found each other and made a life together, Aunt Kathy
